Punjab, a state around Pakistan, is the heart of the Sikh community
of India. The Amritsar town was founded by Sikh Guru Ramdas in the year
1570 and is dedicated to Harmandir Sahib. The Golden Temple in English
is considered as the main pilgrimage center of the sanctuary. Amritsar
has a Darghiana temple. The carvings are a Hindu shrine.

Golden Temple:
It
